The objective of the Federation is combining efforts of accountants and auditors to promote the reform and development of accounting and auditing in Ukraine in the line with the processes of European integration, improvement of tax legislation and protection of the common interests of the members of the Federation.

 As per strategic project for 2006-2007 the chief aims of the UFPAA are:

• Driving for public recognition as a professional self-regulating organization.
• Protecting of public interests in the field of accounting.
• Quantitative and qualitative improving of membership.
• Assisting IFRS implementation in Ukraine.
• Keeping the public thoroughly informed for the purpose of attracting new members.
• Making progress in committees and region branches' activity.
• Keeping high quality of education and certification.
• Building a highly skilled administrative team. Reaching the compliance with the requirements of IFAC.
• Working out an effective lecturer's education system.
• Assisting management accounts implementation in Ukraine.
