2000	The UFPAA was the first professional civil organization in Ukraine that became an associated member of the International Federation of Accountants.
2000	The UFPAA got an official permit from The Committee of International Accounting Standards for issuing the translation of the "IFRS-2000".
July 16, 2000	The UFPAA appealed to the central executive authorities with the proposition of formalizing the Day of Accountant. This day's celebrations took place almost in every territorial branch.
December 14, 2000	The UFPAA with assistance of the International Regional Federation of Accountant and Auditors "Eurasia" presented the first translation of the International Standards of Audit and The Code of Ethics into Russian.
2000	The project of the World Bank "Development and implementation of the educational program to IAS adaptation" was finished.
2000	The UFPAA with assistance of the International Fund "Revival" and Winrock International started the project "Modern education and confidence in the morrow for modern woman". The main aim of the project was to provide support to unemployed women by training them as good specialists competitive on the labour-market.
2000-2001	The UFPAA with assistance of the International Fund "Revival" realized the project "Unified accounting and Reporting System for Non-Profit NGOs". The aim of the project was working out the type documentation, the methodology of accounting and drawing up reports preparation for Non-Profit NGOs in accordance with the new Law of Ukraine "On Accounting and Financial Reporting".
2000	The textbook "Accounting and Financial Reporting in Ukraine" under the editorship of S.Golov was issued.
2000	The UFPAA with assistance of FMI and IBTCI prepared "The methodological guidelines on transformation of public corporations' and loans issuers' accounting reports into IAS-based financial statements". The all Ukrainian conference "Adoption of the NARS on the Stock Market" was held in Kiev for the purpose of guidelines presentation. There were presented 250 experts in the field of accounting.
December 15, 2000	5th UFPAA Council meeting was held. The representatives of the national authorities and the representative of The Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan Republic Z.Nurahmetov were present there. The main results of the meeting were the preparation of the UFPAA and the UFPAA Council's performance report, the election of the UFPAA boards' members and the approval of the UFPAA's Statute. In the issue of the secret vote A.Savchenko was elected as the Head of the UFPAA by the majority of votes.
