This year, on July 16, 2008, the Professional Holiday "The Day of Accountant" was celebrated the fifth time in Ukraine. UFPAA, the Ministry of Finance of Ukrane and the Chamber of Auditors of Ukraine organised and held a formal celebration in Kiev where accountants, auditors, representatives of institutions of higher education, scientists, representatives of regulatory bodies and mass media were present.

The Gala Night was splendid!

A lot of national artists appeared on stage.

Among those who took the floor and congratulated everybody present on their professional holiday were the representatives of different government, non-government and business organizations such as the Supreme Soviet of Ukraine, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the State Commission for Securities and Stock Market, the National Bank of Ukraine, the Chamber of Auditors of Ukraine, UFPAA, the Union of Auditors of Ukraine, the Guild of Professional Internal Auditors of Ukraine, Ernst & Young.

The best national representatives of the profession were presented with the Letters of appriciation and commendation by the Cabinet of the Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and the State Commission for Securities and Stock Market.

The State Commission for Securities and Stock Market's "Singn of Respect" was awarded to UFPAA President S.Golov for his own achievements in performance of the tasks relating to formation and implementation of unitary public policy of the Ukrainian Stock Market's development.

The culmination of the Gala Night was a master-class of the Honoured Artist of Ukraine, the famous choreographer G.Chapkis.
